Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits

  • 2 lb bag Atkinson's Cinnamon Flake biscuit mix
  • 15 oz box of seedless raisins
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups of flour (all purpose or self-rising)


Put raisins in bowl of hot water and break apart so they will not stick together. Drain water off and put in bowl and add biscuit mix. Add enough warm water until all dry mix is wet. Dust countertop with flour. Pour mixture on dusted countertop and fold a few times and pat out into about 1/4 inch thickness. Dust top with flour and cut with at least a three inch cutter. Place on greased biscuit pan and place in preheated over at 450ºF for about 11-12 minutes. You should bake on next to top rack in oven so bottom of biscuits won't get too brown before tops. Add hot water to powdered sugar to form glaze to brush on top while biscuits are hot out of oven. Adjust amount of water in sugar to get desired thickness of glaze. Should yield 30-32 biscuits.
