Atkinson’s Fine-Stoneground Corn Meal is the Corn Meal for which we are most famous, but there are some folks that want their corn meal even finer!

While our Atkinson’s Cornmeal is ground with just a little bit of small “grit” left in it, our Cattail Brand has only a tiny amount of “grit” in it.  Cattail is popular with folks that like their cornbread very tender.  It is also excellent for making “Old -Timey Hoecakes” (Look in our recipe section).

There are even some people who even use Cattail for breading seafood because it clings to the seafood like a flour-based breading, but gives you a nice crisp texture and taste.
